Tractorland case study
We have managed to deliver double-digit growth in terms of traffic, sales conversion and revenue. Now how can we help you?
Background
Tractorland is the home of Tractor Ted, the cartoon character that introduces a range of DVD’s about life on the farm. Aimed at 2-6 year-olds, Tractorland also sells books, toys and clothing.
Objective
The existing website had been live for 3 years and had served its purpose. The aim of the new website was to create a better environment to promote the brand whilst making it easier to purchase on the site.
Solution
Peach Digital redesigned the site and added a blog for Tractor Ted as well as a new area in which Fan Club members could interact with the brand. Tractor Ted is making more appearances at events through the year, so we ensured that there was a section in which to promote these events to his Fans.
The shop was completely overhauled with added features such as "Quick Buy” to help make the buying process much easier, with up-sell opportunities throughout. We have also improved up the administration system to allow Tractorland to have much more control over the content and product information on the website, including management of promotional codes.
Result
In the first two months of going live (September/October 2009), all key performance indicators went up significantly: Traffic was up 19%, sales conversion up by over 50%, and most importantly, revenue was up 78% on the previous year.
David Horler, co-owner of Tractorland, was ecstatic saying: “We knew that we could make the website work even better and this has exceeded our highest expectations – well done to the team at Peach”
